The DRC Refugee Return Initiative (DRRI) operates across multiple regions to support refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as they transition from host countries back to their homeland. Our programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of DRC refugees in various countries, providing comprehensive support throughout each stage of their journey.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

Programs: Reintegration support, livelihood training, and community development initiatives to help returnees rebuild their lives and contribute to local communities.
Focus: Ensuring safe and sustainable resettlement, with partnerships that empower communities and strengthen essential infrastructure.

Neighboring Host Countries

Countries: Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and other neighboring nations that have hosted DRC refugees for years.
Programs: Offering essential services such as healthcare, educational support, and pre-reintegration training to prepare refugees for a dignified return home.

Canada

Programs: Supporting refugees who have relocated to Canada, with services that focus on integration, language training, vocational skills, and community building.
Focus: Helping refugees build self-sufficiency and thrive within the Canadian society, while staying connected to DRRI’s mission.

International Partnerships

Collaborations: DRRI works with global humanitarian organizations and local partners across continents to coordinate refugee support services, advocacy, and sustainable development initiatives.
Goals: Strengthen international support networks and advocate for the rights and dignity of refugees on a global scale.
